STEAK SANDWICH

The steak you can eat with your hands.

  • Serves: 2-3 Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1- 10oz

    NY strip steak
    1" thick
  • 2

    Red, Green or
    Orange Peppers
  • 1

    Sweet Onion
  • 1 bottle

    Rickard's Red
  • 1

    lime
  • 1 Sprig

    Cilantro
  • 1

    baguette
  • Store Bought

    Chipotle Mayo
  • ¼ tsp

    Salt
  • ¼ tsp

    Ground Pepper

Directions

Cooking & Grilling:

  1. Preheat a BBQ or hotplate to medium heat in preparation for the steak.

  2. Thinly slice peppers and onion and add to a deep pan.

  3. Pour in a bottle of Rickard’s Red.

  4. Simmer in pan over medium heat until the bottle of Rickard’s Red has reduced and the peppers and onions are softened.

  5. Rub steak with oil and season with sea salt and pepper.

  6. Grill steak until medium rare or desired doneness, and let rest while you prepare your baguette.

Sandwich Construction:

  1. Slice baguette in half and toast lightly on the grill.

  2. Spread the chipotle mayo on the baguette.

  3. Thinly slice the steak and layer on the baguette.

  4. Layer over the reduced Rickard’s onion and peppers.

  5. Cut sandwich into desired portions, top sandwich with cilantro and lime zest and serve open faced.
